A Liberal Arts option provides a focused path to completing the Liberal Arts degree while developing 100- and 200-level knowledge and skills in a specific field. Students should work closely with their advisor to select courses that align with their career or transfer goals. If you don't satisfy the requirements of a specific option, you may still may still qualify for another option or the Liberal Arts General degree. Note that you will graduate with an Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts degree, with your area of concentration reflected only on your transcript.

Please note that transfer to many four-years colleges and universities may require completion of four sequential semesters of world languages. Transfer specialists recommend using electives to start language requirements at the community college prior to transfer.

Students must complete a total of 6 courses here, with at least 2 courses from the list of Survey courses and at least 2 course from the list of Genre courses.

Other English courses may be accepted with the approval of the Program Coordinator.

Complete 10 credits of any course other than a development course.
